Ivo Lev is a filmmaker with special interest in telling out-of-the-box, compelling stories. He has extensive background as a Creative Producer, Director and Editor in the Media/Entertainment and Film Industry.

After a successful immersion as a copywriter in JWT and BBDO agencies, he embarked on a creative journey as a crafter of Branded content for TC Television Ecuador, FOX Latin America, Sony, RCN, Telemundo, Univision affiliate networks, and it wasn’t long before he won a PROMAX Award in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a result of his work.

His most recent work as an Editor and Producer includes the Peacock Doc Series “Reggaeton: The sound that conquered the world”.

Currently he is releasing “lookalike”, a 100% crowdfunded short film produced with a team of talented Atlanta filmmakers.

As founder of the creative group WA Media, he is preparing a feature film, the sequel for a feature Documentary set in New Orleans, and a bilingual limited series for the U.S market; in tandem with his brother, writer Orlando Huahua.

Ivo Huahua was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is a writer/director and producer, known for Stutter (2016) and Juanito (2015). He is the winner of the 2016 DGA Student Jury Award for his film “Stutter”. He was the Casting Director and Location Manager of the Spirit-award film Life & Nothing More (2017), directed by Cannes-winning director Antonio Mendez Esparza.

Ivo also worked as an Assistant Location Manager of the Netflix film “I’m No Longer Here” and pursued a Master in Fine Arts in Film Production at Florida State University – College of Motion Picture Arts, graduating with honors in the Directing Class of 2016.

He lives in New York City and works as a union Film Location Specialist and indie Producer while working on his projects as a film Director.
